Why Woolmaster

With many graziers operating in remote areas, getting good consistent power to the shed is always a challenge.

With many using a SWER (Single Wire Earth Return) supply that uses unusually long spans of cable, Power/Voltage drop is common. But thanks to WoolMaster, the inbuilt VSD manages the power from as low as 180v AC up to 250v AC without tripping the circuit breakers in shed.

Remember, with a traditional Woolpress as the voltage drops, or with cold start up – the amperage/current goes up and will eventually trip circuit breakers. This is not the case with WoolMaster. The VSD converts the single-phase power into a smooth controlled output driving a much more powerful & robust 3 phase electric motor without capacitors.

The VSD is also able to take advantage of the lower current draw parts of the cycle and increase the motor speed to increase cycle times without drawing excessive current/power. It has the ability to adjust and limit the maximum current draw during any part of the cycle, including cold start up.

The unique hydraulic pinning system is constructed with replaceable 20mm hardened steel pins and designed to provide easy in & out functioning. This system requires much less input power/current that traditional corner pinning systems and also reduces cycle time significantly.

To assist in maximising the woolpress opening size & subsequent number of cycles to produce a complete bale, a 900mm stroke cylinder is installed in place of the traditional 740mm stroke cylinder. Along with the lower hydraulic pinning arrangement, WoolMaster is able to achieve up to 50% less loading cycles per bale and shorter bale sizes (1100-1200mm) which assists with transportation.

With its multi-function touchscreen that has been tested to in excess of 10 million presses, the WoolMaster is capable of dealing with 200kg of cross bred wool with over 30-50% less filling cycles than any other machine. With this increase in efficiency, daily bale production will be increased significantly with less power requirement.
